You almost never get another chance to do something right the first time. But every once in a while you get a second chance. Say for example you don't get marriage right the first time (as some of us don't). You've got to take a deep breath, let go of old mistakes and learn to believe again.
Actually, a second chance can be even better than a first chance.
You've learned something,
you are smarter,
and you appreciate the opportunity even that that much more.
29 Days ago we took another second chance.
A second chance at more happy years and some time free from cancer. Jay's decision to go through with the aggressive treatment of a bone marrow transplant was not without a lot of consideration and some real fears. There are so many risks involved in killing off a vital organ and hoping it will all grow back together. A long, slow recovery and the uncertainty of a long-term result keep a lot of people from going through with it.
But Jay had decided early on that he wanted to go after his cancer with everything he had. He wanted a second chance at healthy days and time to accomplish more with his life.
That is one of the things I love best about him - his belief in an even better tomorrow.
I've never been happier that I met someone who is not afraid to take a second chance,
in love
or in life.
Second chances? I'm all for them, both giving them and receiving them.
Happy Anniversary Baby!
How about nine more....
Step by step,
Lynn
